Natural wood is approximately 1500 times more thermally resistant than aluminium, and acts to insulate the aluminium. This means that in combination with double glazing, you can expect to see substantial benefits - such as reduced condensation, less heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer - and generally a more pleasant environment.
